The days following the 2011 mass shooting and attempted assassination of Tucson’s Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, the Tucson community, Allstate employees and agency owners reached out to renew the community spirit.
The Allstate Foundation built a playground in honor of Christina-Taylor Green after hearing her mother discuss on the radio that Christina’s school was in need. We earned a PRSA Silver Anvil because of our passion to help a tight-knit community heal.

We worked with the Tucson community throughout the project. As part of our campaign, we created a backpack drive. Allstate agents, employees, and local elementary schools filled 400 backpacks with school supplies that were donated to a sister elementary school in need.
